5**Never edit inside `jevcrates/` from here.** It is another repository. A change the
6daemon needs from the Jev client is made in jevcrates, committed there, and then this
7repository moves its submodule pin in a commit of its own.

9**Keep `.gitmodules`' URL relative (`../jevcrates.git`).** An absolute GitHub URL
10breaks a clone from the lmjtfy site, which cannot reach private GitHub.

12**This folder gets no chapter for the submodule.** jevcrates carries its own guide;
13do not add README or CLAUDE files inside `jevcrates/`.
