For agents, on top of README.md, which they read first.
- These are digests, not sources. When one disagrees with the emulator or the game, the digest is wrong: fix it here, with the measurement, in the same commit as the code that found it.
- Addresses are written as SNES bus addresses (
$7Exxxx/$7Fxxxx). Mesen'semu.memType.snesWorkRamtakes the WRAM OFFSET instead: subtract$7E0000($7FDF80→0x1DF80). SRAM-mirror addresses$7EF000+are WRAM, not cartridge SRAM — read them assnesWorkRamtoo. alttp-ram-map.mdends with an open-items list. Resolve an item by measuring it in the running game, then move it out of that list.- The notes are files, not chapters: only this folder's README and
fixtures/are in the guide's chain. A new note gets a row in the README's table. - The reference clones the notes cite live under
~/src/github.com/<owner>/<repo>(SourMesen/Mesen2,snesrev/zelda3,spannerisms/usdasm,spannerisms/jpdasm,JaredBrian/AsarUSALTTPDisassembly,walkingeyerobot/alttp-disassembly,DioxusLabs/dioxus,zbanks/alttp). Read-only research: never push, star, fork or file anything against them. - Some notes name code that no longer exists:
breaker-trip-2026-09-20.mdand the two castle notes predate the Rust brain's removal on 2026-09-21 (packages/brain,apps/walkcheck);zbanks-alttp.mdstill sayspackages/zbanks-jevwhere the code is nowpackages/decisions. The findings about the game hold; do not follow their code pointers.
