Sources for the vocal tools the flake packages:

  • vocode.py → vocode IN.wav OUT.wav --chord "a2 a3 c4 e4": a channel vocoder that makes a sawtooth chord speak with the input's voice. Pick the chord the line will sit on in the song, so the robot sings in key. How it works is in the file's header.
  • speak.ps1 → speak TEXT OUT.wav [VOICE] [RATE]: renders text with a Windows SAPI voice (default Microsoft David). Needs the host's windows-exec.

A typical vocoder line:

speak "Minimax was right there." raw.wav
vocode raw.wav out.wav --chord "g2 g3 b3 d4"

Trim silence and encode into samples/<sound>/ with ffmpeg afterwards.
