## Notes for agents

**Data is the only character.** Add no other characters, films or franchises (the user, 2026-09-25).

**Jev is a classifier here, never the agent.** The browser loop clicks; Jev only answers "Should Data download this book?" with "Yes." Don't write a line where Jev downloads, browses or decides what to do next.

**The harpsichord's note value is the speedometer.** Eighths, sixteenths, thirty-seconds, then sixty-fourths in the buzz at the end of each drop; the clicks and Jev's "Yes." speed up with it. That acceleration is the "too damn fast" joke: don't flatten it to one speed.

**Stop playback before playing `song.js`.** Its section masks count from cycle 0.

**Every mask is 64 steps.** Adding a section means re-counting all of them; the `!n` counts must sum to 64.

**Each vocal line starts on a fixed bar** (the table in `SPEC.md`); a bar is 2 s at 120 bpm. No two lines overlap as written: check a new clip's length with ffprobe before placing it.

**The crash is `hh27:1` at gain 2.5.** Dirt-Samples' `cr` is a ride; `hh27:1` is 15 dB quieter than it, so its gain is high on purpose.
