# ELEVEN THOUSAND VOLUMES

Baroque electronica about Lieutenant Commander Data pointing a browser at
an ebook store and having Jev download the whole catalogue, too damn fast.
Jev is a classifier, not an agent, so the browser loop does the clicking
and asks it one question per book, "Should Data download this book?", and
Jev's "Yes." becomes an instrument, speeding up with the harpsichord and
the clicks until the store answers "Four twenty-nine. Too many requests."
Then the punchline: eleven thousand volumes, none of which he can open. 64
bars (~2:08) at 120 bpm as written; Jev arranges it live, four bars at a
time, until it ends.
